At Kismet Park Primary School, we provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students to achieve their highest potential as responsible and active digital citizens. We do this through providing authentic learning experiences where students connect and collaborate with local and global communities as they explore their passions, with high expectations of students as individual learners and thinkers.
‘Digital pedagogies’ refers to the use of technologies and computational thinking to engage students with the curriculum and promote learning. It refers to a new way of working and thinking in today’s globalised world. Our teachers, when planning follow the SAMR Model a framework that orders strategies for classroom technology implementation into four stages.
In each stage of the SAMR model, the use of educational technology (EdTech) becomes increasingly sophisticated:
Kismet Park Primary School provides a 1:1 BYOD iPad Program from Years 4 to Year 6 to support and enhance student learning. In 2025 we are extending the BYOD program to include our Year 3 students. Our Years P-2 students have iPads provided by the school.
Other digital technologies and technology-related programs that we provide at Kismet Park Primary School to enhance student learning include the following:
