Respectful Relationships

The Respectful Relationships program is a whole-school approach that recognises that schools are a workplace, a community hub, and a place for learning.

This initiative, from the Victorian Government empowers schools to foster respect, positive attitudes, and behaviours, guiding children in cultivating healthy relationships, resilience, and confidence. At Kismet Park Primary School, this program aligns seamlessly with our School Wide Positive Behaviour approach.

The Respectful Relationships Initiative adopts a comprehensive approach (outlined in the provided image) to assist school leaders, educators, and our community in championing respect and equality. Its primary focus is on nurturing healthy relationships, resilience, and confidence in our students.

Educators at Kismet Park integrate the Resilience, Rights, and Respectful Relationships learning materials into their teaching practices. These resources not only reinforce our school values but also promote social and emotional skills and positive gender norms among children and youth.

Tailored for educators, the Resilience, Rights, and Respectful Relationships learning materials aim to enhance students' social, emotional, and relational skills. The Resilience, Rights, and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) curriculum encompasses eight Social and Emotional Learning topics:
